Boomer

Boomer is our "special dog child." Boomer was a gift for Jason's birthday when he turned 23 (note to all....animals do not make good gifts). Boomer has been loved from the start yet he has always been strong willed. He has broken out of 4 Kennels (all kinds), Locked Doors, Opened Doors (to rooms and the fridge), and has managed to open every kind of container we own. Needless to say, Boomer keeps us on our toes. We have a special love for Boomer that no one else has for him, except my mom. Boomer has always been my mom's favorite. She loves him because he is smart and has so much personality. He knows that he loves her and my mom holds a special place in his heart. Even though he can not talk, his actions tell all.

Thursday my mom came by to visit for a couple of hours. Boomer was thrilled of course (he runs to all the doors when I say grandma is coming). Well usually my mom will stay overnight but she had to get to the ranch to get ready for an early morning. Jason and I were left at our house with Boomer. He cried for hours at the door. We went to bed and he was still crying. I woke up in the middle of the night and he was crying and scratching at the door. Boomer doesn't even act this way when Jason and I leave, its pathetic. Here are some pictures to prove how much Boomer loves my mom...

Jason trying to console Boomer who is just crying and starring at the front door. 8:00pm.

Boomer crying at the door for "grandma" to come back.....9:15pm.
