change of plans

Well Jason and I have had a change of plans regarding the house decorations. Friday night we received our electricity bill and noticed it was twice as high as last month!! Not only does our air conditioner suck but the thermostat is near the front guest room that has 5 windows. Within the past few months we have tried closing off vents, changing to a programmable thermostat, and sweating in the middle of the night in hopes that we wouldn't be faced with the inevitable higher electricity bill.

So, after some discussion about our different options we decided that we would spend our money on buying curtains for all the windows and black out curtains in hopes of saving a little money in the long run. We knew at some point we would need to buy curtains but we really were dreading spending the money on them. (There is really nothing exciting about spending tons of money on fabric)

Luckily we found most of our curtains half off at JCPenney and were able to tie everything together. Here are some pictures of the finished product....
